The Employee Benefits Group division of Sun Life Financial Inc. (NYSE:
SLF, TSX: SLF) today introduced EAP By DesignSM, a new
Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that allows employers to choose an EAP
solution from a range of options to best meet their specific needs. In
addition, EAP by Design offers the industry’s first plan specifically
designed for business owners and their employees.
EAP By Design – which is administered by ComPsych Corporation – is
available with any Sun Life Group Life and Disability product.
"Sun Life recognizes that different employers have different EAP needs.
After thoroughly assessing these varying needs, we designed three unique
EAP packages to suit any employer,” says Scott Beliveau, VP, Multi-Line
Product Center. "This approach is a simple and effective way to support
any customer, while providing the most value to all of them.”
He continues, "We also identified a glaring need for business owners to
have access to support services – not just for personal, financial and
legal issues, but also for business issues. So, Sun Life and ComPsych
combined our expertise to develop an EAP product with a host of services
designed specifically for business owners.”
Sun Life’s innovative approach gives employers and employees access to
services they need to improve workplace productivity and performance.
The three tiers of EAP By Design include:
-
EAP EssentialSM offers a wide range of
valuable EAP services, including legal, financial, work-life and HR
assistance resources, as well as confidential telephone counseling
sessions and health risk assessments.
-
EAP CompleteSM provides a more comprehensive
level of EAP services, including five face-to-face EAP visits with a
local counselor, free online wills, one face-to-face visit with a
financial planner and critical incident stress debriefing.
-
EAP Business ClassSM includes a wide range of
EAP services for employees, as well as an extra level of services for
the business owner. These extra services include access to a ComPsych
team of legal, financial, marketing, human resources and personal
health coach experts, a customized web site and identity-theft
restoration services.
"These new EAP packages offer innovative options for employers of all
sizes,” said Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, Chairman and CEO of ComPsych. "We
look forward to providing cutting-edge services that will help both
employees and business owners be successful.”
