The Phoenix Companies, Inc. (NYSE:PNX) today announced that its 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders will be broadcast live on the company’s Web site, www.phoenixwm.com in the Investor Relations section. Presentations at the meeting will include a review of the company’s business and strategy.

The meeting will take place at the company’s offices at One American Row, Hartford, Conn., on May 1, 2009, beginning at 10 a.m., Eastern time. The record date for determining shareholders eligible to vote at the meeting was March 4, 2009.

A replay of the meeting will be available on the Web site beginning later that day and will remain on the site until at least May 31, 2009.
