LGS, a subsidiary of Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) dedicated to serving the
U.S. government community, announced today that the Alcatel-Lucent
7750 and 7710 Service Routers were certified by the Joint
Interoperability Test Command and will be added to the IPv6 Approved
Products List.
This certification demonstrates the continued commitment of LGS and
Alcatel-Lucent to deliver products and services designed to fit the
unique needs of the U.S. government customer.
The Alcatel-Lucent 7750 and 7710 Service Routers deliver carrier-grade
MPLS and Ethernet services, combined with high performance, reliability
and exceptional quality of service. The two products certified are:

The Alcatel-Lucent 7750 Service Router (SR) is a flexible and
high performance service delivery platform that provides the
scalability of core routers with the flexibility of edge routers. The
7750 Service router family offer up to a terabit of capacity and is
characterized with the capability to deliver highly available,
simultaneous Layer 2 and Layer 3 service. These Service Routers are
the first choice for network operators delivering comprehensive
services, especially in networks employing voice, video and data.

Alcatel-Lucent 7710 Service Router delivers the same multi
service functionality of the 7750 in a smaller form factor. The 7710
SR is built for those areas in the network with lesser bandwidth
demands, where high availability and flexibility of interface
aggregation is required.
Additionally, both products are currently undergoing Common Criteria
Evaluation and Certification Scheme EAL 2. Common Criteria is an
international standard for security certification.
More than 260 service providers in more than 90 countries have selected
the Alcatel-Lucent IP/MPLS portfolio, which expands easily to terabit
capacity and performance with modules based on the award-winning FP2
chipset. During the second quarter of 2008, Alcatel-Lucent reinforced
its No. 2 position in IP/MPLS Edge according to Ovum RHK. Alcatel Lucent
