Vignette (NASDAQ: VIGN) announced that two of its customers — the
University of Utah and the U.S. Department of Labor — have been
recognized by media and industry organizations for their
Vignette-powered, public-facing Web sites.
Vignette itself has earned a spot on the fifth annual eContent
100, a compilation of companies that matter most in the digital
content industry.
The University of Utah
The Interactive Media Council, a nonprofit organization dedicated to
furthering Internet standards, has awarded The
University of Utah with an Interactive Media Award for Outstanding
Achievement. The awards, judged by professionals from organizations such
as American Express, CNNmoney.com and the New York Times, evaluate each
website based on design, content, feature functionality, usability and
standards compliance. The university has worked with Vignette to foster
online collaboration around the school’s renowned brain research
initiatives.
U.S. Department of Labor
The Government Computer News (GCN) Awards honor government
agencies whose information technologies have been selected as the top 10
in 2008. One of them was the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of the
Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, which was honored
for its GovBenefits
E-Gov Program. The Web site, www.govbenefits.gov,
provides access to benefits for more than 1,000 federal and
state-administered programs. The site uses Vignette software to handle
its content, including benefits information and user-based workflow.
Vignette and the eContent 100
Vignette was honored by eContent, a publication dedicated to
digital content strategies and resources. The publication named Vignette
to its fifth annual eContent 100, which recognizes the companies
that matter most in the digital content industry. Among the many
Vignette products cited by eContent were Vignette
Case Manager, Vignette
Community Services, Vignette
Media, Vignette
Portal, Vignette
Recommendations, Vignette
Video and Vignette
Web Content Management.
"These awards reflect Vignette’s versatility in client base and as well
as technological capabilities,” said Dave Dutch, senior vice president
of products and marketing at Vignette. "They also demonstrate Vignette’s
dedication to helping clients deliver compelling and dynamic Web
experiences, no matter the industry or audience.”
