Dallmeier, an innovative developer and manufacturer of transmission,
recording and picture processing technology, has integrated the Xyratex
F5402E 4Gb RAID solution into its CCTV storage and archiving solutions.
A typical end-user from Dallmeier’s global
base of CCTV storage customers can conduct up to 100,000 CCTV scanning
actions a day, making it critical for Dallmeier to offer flexible,
scalable storage solutions that can support and protect large amounts of
data. Dallmeier chose Xyratex’s F5402E 4Gb
FC-SAS/SATA RAID system to increase storage capacity and to optimally
secure recorded data in its DAS-300 product, a direct attached storage
chassis that connects with CCTV recorders in the Dallmeier DMS/DLS
series. The company also deployed the Xyratex F5402E in select archiving
products, leveraging the system’s ability to
house a combination of 12 SATA II or SAS drives and up to 9 TB of
storage capacity in each compact 2U rack-mountable enclosure.
