Moody's: Default and recovery rates for project finance bank loans show high rate of full recovery
London, 04 February 2013 -- When a project finance bank loan defaults, lenders ultimately suffer no economic loss almost two thirds of the time, according to Moody's Investors Service in its second annual project finance bank loan default and recovery rate study. Overall, the ultimate recovery rate on the defaulted bank loans averaged 80%, says Moody's in "Default and Recovery Rates for Project Finance Bank Loans, 1983-2011."
