Moody's: No rating impact on Peregrine Series Trust 2009-1 from additional note issuance

Sydney, November 12, 2012 -- Moody's Investors Service announced today that the issuance of additional Class A notes following a sale of mortgages in an amount of AUD30 million to Peregrine Series Trust 2009-1 on 12 November 2012, will not, in and of itself and at this time, result in the reduction or withdrawal of the rating of the Class A notes issued by the above mentioned trust.

The transaction's Class B notes are not rated by Moody's.

The transaction is a securitisation of a portfolio of Australian prime mortgage loans originated by Macquarie Bank Limited under its relationship banking division.

The Class A notes are rated Aaa (sf). After the pool upsize, the Class A notes total AUD322 million. They benefit from the 9.9% subordination provided by the Class B notes. The revised pool has a weighted average loan-to-value ratio of 60% and seasoning of 3 years.

The trust is also supported by a liquidity facility which is 2.5% of the outstanding principal balance of the Class A Notes.

Moody's believed that the amendment did not have an adverse effect on the credit quality of the securities such that the Moody's rating was impacted. Moody's did not express an opinion as to whether the amendment could have other, non credit-related effects.

The principal methodology used in this rating was Moody's Approach to Rating Australian RMBS published in May 2012. Please see the Credit Policy page on www.moodys.com for a copy of this methodology.
