The partnership marks a major step in MoneyGram's evolution from a traditional remittance provider into a global peer-to-peer network for borderless money movement.

With help from Crossmint's technology, MoneyGram is now enabling customers to send, store, and spend U.S. dollar–denominated funds instantly, securely, and at a low cost. With Colombia as the first launch market, additional markets will follow, starting with key corridors in LATAM.

The new MoneyGram app will enable U.S. senders to send funds abroad in USD, which are converted to USDC and delivered instantly to recipients in Colombia via a Crossmint-powered smart wallet.
From there, customers can:

- Cash out in COP when convenient through MoneyGram's network of more than 6,000 locations across the country
