The GX1010 increases uplink speeds in residential and commercial cable deployments by more than 100x, supporting the growing consumer and business demand for faster and more reliable bi-directional data rates for interactive gaming, augmented reality, cloud services, video conferencing and more. The GX1010 offers cable providers a way to deliver symmetrical 10-Gig speeds over legacy fiber-coaxial networks, reaching the speeds and reliability customers want without the need to add additional infrastructure.
Until now, upstream data transfer rates have been a shortcoming of the cable industry, with broadband service only able to provide asymmetric connectivity with the upstream throughputs typically being 5-10x slower than downstream throughputs.
