Lynda Cloud Named CEO of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition

DRUCKEN

NEW YORK, April 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), the first and largest professional health coach certification program in the world, announced today that veteran education executive Lynda Cloud joined the company as CEO. Cloud brings nearly 30 years of education industry experience to her new role at IIN, where she will guide the organization's strategic positioning and innovation during a period of unprecedented expansion for the health coaching industry.

"The focus of my career has been on expanding access to lifelong learning and, in my view, there's no domain of learning more important than health and well-being," said Cloud. "I'm excited to build on the legacy of success that IIN has realized under the leadership of its founder Joshua Rosenthal and look forward to collaborating with the team to broaden our reach and continue to grow our programs."

Cloud brings deep leadership experience as well as a wealth of expertise in both educational publishing and e-learning to her role as CEO at IIN. She previously served as CEO at Equal Ed, a global start-up focused on expanding and equalizing access to online learning tools in emerging and developed markets. Prior to Equal Ed, she was executive vice president of K12 Inc., where she ran its products and technology groups, as well as a $150 million institutional division that built virtual schools. She started her career at Pearson, where she rose to be general manager of its science, humanities and online businesses

"Having a leader of Lynda's caliber and experience is exciting. I'm very optimistic about the future of IIN," said Rosenthal.

Established in 1992, IIN's program has grown from a small classroom experience in New York City to an innovative online learning platform that serves more than 10,000 students a year. Today the organization has more than 100,000 graduates in over 150 countries and was acquired by Norwest Equity Partners (NEP), a Minneapolis-based investment firm, in October 2018.

Through its flagship 12-month Health Coach Training Program, IIN provides holistic-health training that spans physical, mental and emotional health, as well as personal development, health coaching, and business skills. Its curriculum is shaped by a well-regarded network of world-class educators and guest lecturers, including many of the world's leading physicians, researchers, doctors and nutrition experts. IIN also offers an 18-month master's degree program through International Health Coach University, and produces content, educational events and advocacy efforts related to healthy living.

"We see Lynda's extensive education industry experience and the existing and growing management team's knowledge and passion for the business as a winning combination for IIN," said Mike Gerend, NEP Operating Partner and IIN Board Member. "The world needs better health education, support and community, and IIN is in a great position to help deliver all that and more."
