Founded in 1928, Les Affaires is a pillar of the Quebec business community and features original content designed to support both the large corporate structure as well as small business owners. "We are excited to be formally recognized in the top 20 of Quebec's small-to-medium-sized businesses," said Rideau President and CEO, Peter W. Hart. "Rideau has called Quebec home for over 100 years and we are proud to have contributed to its economy by employing its people and supporting local businesses for over a century."

Les Affaires' list is determined by the number of employees each company employ in the Quebec area. The list highlights companies who employ and work with people in Quebec to contribute to the economy of the province. "We appreciate being recognized by Les Affaires in this manner because it takes into account, first and foremost, the impact Rideau has made in the lives of the people of Quebec," says Jean Marcotte, Head of Financial Analysis of Firms and Funds at Fondaction and who serves on Rideau's Board of Directors. "Rideau, at its core, has always put 'people first' and nothing shows commitment to the people of Quebec like remaining a constant employer and supporter of local businesses."

According to Emploi Quebec, small and medium sized businesses employ the greatest number of workers in Quebec. As the search for talent becomes more competitive, Rideau's reputation as an employment pillar in the community is appreciated. "The war for finding the best talent continues to be challenging, but we have always been committed to keeping as many jobs as possible in Quebec," says Jennifer Lumba, Rideau's Chief Marketing Officer. "I personally work with some of the best and brightest people in the industry as the talent pool in Quebec is highly diverse and multifaceted."
