Actor Seolhyun, formerly of girl group AOA, has signed an exclusive contract with The Present Company, joining the same agency as Ahn Hyo-seop and Shin Se-kyung. The agency announced Wednesday, “We have signed an exclusive contract with actor Seolhyun.” Debuting in 2012 as a member of AOA, Seolhyun has steadily built her career as an actor, shifting her focus to acting following the group’s de facto disbandment. Through her new contract, Seolhyun aims to mark a fresh chapter as a full-time actor. The Present Company described her as “an actor who possesses both radiant energy and emotional depth — qualities that capture the spirit of the times and can drive new creative change.” Seolhyun’s next project is the upcoming Netflix original series “Show Business” (working title), which she is currently filming alongside Song Hye-kyo, Gong Yoo, Cha Seung-won, and Lee Ha-nee under the direction of Lee Yoon-jung and writer Noh Hee-kyung.
