Tesla's Model X could be delayed, Morgan Stanley says

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- There's "reasonable risk" that Tesla Motors Inc. 's next offering, the Model X SUV, could be delayed into the third quarter of next year, analysts at Morgan Stanley said in a note Thursday. Prototypes of the car -- which will be Tesla's second model in production -- have been difficult to spot, and it's not uncommon for an auto maker to delay the launch of a new car, the analysts said. Moreover, the recent introduction of an all-wheel drive option for Tesla's Model S sedan could suggest some spacing ahead of the Model X launch, they added.
