The national education nonprofit and its grant awardees will showcase evidence-based solutions to pressing education challenges in PreK-12 literacy, math, AI, and assessment with more than 30 sessions across AERDF's R&D programs.

OAKLAND, Calif., June 25, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Advanced Education Research & Development Fund (AERDF), a national nonprofit, and its awardees, will present new discoveries and advancements in PreK-12 math, literacy, assessment, and AI at ISTELive 25 and the ASCD Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, from June 29 through July 2. One of the world's most comprehensive education events, ISTELive 25 is attended by over 15,000 education leaders, teachers, coaches, librarians/media specialists, and more.

AERDF and its awardees will have more than 30 sessions and will debut the latest advancements and innovations in math, literacy, assessment, and AI from its portfolio of R&D awardees from across its R&D Programs – EF+Math, Assessment for Good, Reading Reimagined, and AugmentED. Featured sessions will include: Magpie Literacy, Juego, Stanford ROAR, Big Words Project, Read STOP Write, Throughline Learning, MindCatcher, Playlab AI, MIND Research Institute, Sesame Workshop, University of Tennessee, Texas A&M, University of California, San Diego, University of Buffalo, Michigan State University, Arizona State University, Bendable Labs, University of Denver, Georgia Southern University, LeanLab Education, AGILE Network, Learner-Centered Collaborative, Digital Promise, Alliance for Learning Innovation, InnovateEDU, and The Reinvention Lab at Teach for America.

At its Awardee Showcase, AERDF will present learning science-based, cutting-edge prototypes and technical innovations that are redefining what's possible in teaching and learning.

"The education sector faces reduced funding, competing state priorities, and compliance-focused cultures that can stifle innovation, making it challenging to build solutions that shift status quo approaches to teaching and learning," said AERDF CEO Auditi Chakravarty. "AERDF programs begin by identifying a significant, complex problem in education and they collaborate with educators, students, and caregivers to co-design solutions. This approach produces scientific knowledge, technical capabilities, and scalable, classroom-ready prototypes that are evidence-based and demonstrate impact."

Attendees will experience:

  • Engaging presentations and demos featuring scientific discoveries and research-backed inventions from AERDF awardees that are ready for schools and educators to use.
  • Opportunities to connect and network with fellow educators and experts who are just as passionate about positively transforming student learning as they are.
  • Thought-provoking discussions about how R&D can create significant and positive change in education at scale.

Additionally, several AERDF AdvancED Fellows will lead sessions on their bold ideas to transform teaching and learning through the first AERDF Fellows Foresight Series. Like TED Talks, these field-leading experts will share cutting-edge ideas, challenges, and opportunities for the future of learning.
