Designed to support real-world problem solving and deep conceptual understanding, InsightMath nurtures confident mathematical thinkers

IRVINE, Calif., June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- MIND Education today announced the launch of InsightMath, the only K-6 core math curriculum redefining math instruction with an approach explicitly designed around how the brain learns. Rooted in neuroscience research and powered by visual-first instruction, InsightMath equips students with the time, tools, and experiences they need to become confident mathematical thinkers.

Developed in collaboration with neuroscientists, educators, and students, InsightMath uses game-based puzzles and classroom discourse to spark curiosity and support productive struggle. The program fosters a growth mindset, empowering students to solve the world's most complex problems. InsightMath creates an intentional learning experience with an integrated digital platform, engaging printed materials, classroom manipulatives, supportive teaching guides, and more.

"To understand mathematics deeply and carry that knowledge for life, students can't just observe math; they need to do math," said Brett Woudenberg, CEO of MIND Education. "That involves making predictions, testing ideas, discussing their thinking, and revising along the way. With InsightMath, our hope is to create classrooms where every student is thinking, talking, and making sense of math."

InsightMath builds on more than 25 years of proven results from ST Math, MIND Education's highly engaging supplemental program used by nearly 2.2 million students nationwide. Like ST Math, InsightMath leverages spatial-temporal reasoning and visual problem-solving strategies to unlock deeper learning. This approach has demonstrated measurable outcomes: students across the country—regardless of school size, location, or performance level—consistently make meaningful gains in math achievement with ST Math.

"I really liked the opportunity for student discourse and productive struggle in all the lessons," said Emily Landrum, Math Specialist at Navarro ISD. "The students exploring to learn a new concept instead of teachers lecturing was super impactful on their learning."

InsightMath is available nationwide, with tailored versions submitted for adoption in both Texas and California to support district leaders seeking high-quality, standards-aligned math curriculum. Future planned enhancements to InsightMath include additional differentiation supports (i.e., small-group activities, math routines, and table games), a Spanish-language version, and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in California.

About MIND Education
MIND Education engages, motivates, and challenges students towards mathematical success through its mission to mathematically equip all students to solve the world's most challenging problems. MIND is the creator of ST Math, a pre-K–8 visual instructional program that leverages the brain's innate spatial-temporal reasoning ability to solve mathematical problems; and InsightMath, a neuroscience-based K-6 curriculum that transforms student learning by teaching math the way every brain learns so all students are equipped to succeed. During the 2023-24 school year, MIND Education and ST Math reached more than 2.17 million students and 115,000 educators across the country. Visit MINDEducation.org.
