The Inner Circle acknowledges, Lindsay M. Price as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member
SEABROOK, Texas, June 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Prominently featured in The Inner Circle, Lindsay M. Price is acknowledged as a Pinnacle Lifetime Member for her contributions to Maritime Operations and Safety.
Lindsay M. Price has charted a groundbreaking course in the maritime industry, forging a career defined by excellence in vessel navigation, harbor assistance, and maritime safety. With over 15 years of experience in tugboat operations, emergency response, and recovery missions, Captain Price stands out as a respected leader and advocate for women in maritime professions.
A graduate of SUNY Maritime College, Captain Price earned her Bachelor of Science in Marine Environmental Sciences and her U.S. Coast Guard 3rd Mate Unlimited Tonnage License in 2007. She launched her professional journey with G&H Towing Company, where she achieved historic milestones—becoming both the company's first female officer and later, its first female captain. Her trailblazing accomplishments have paved the way for future generations in an industry where such leadership remains rare.
From 2022 to 2024, Captain Price was recruited by SpaceX as one of four Falcon Recovery Captains, overseeing maritime operations for the recovery of spacecraft components. Her role combined high-stakes coordination with technical precision, further cementing her reputation as a trusted leader in complex marine environments.
Captain Price has returned to her passion of driving tugs and now works for Bay Towing based in Port Arthur, TX in the Neches River. She continues to break barriers by being the first female Captain at Bay Towing and participating in the delivery of their brand new tug the Rio Gulf.
Beyond her professional duties, she actively participates in volunteer emergency services and fire department operations, where she also holds the rank of Captain. Her advocacy efforts and commitment to mentorship reflect a broader mission to elevate industry standards and expand opportunities for underrepresented voices in maritime careers.
Captain Price is currently working toward her goal of becoming a harbor pilot—a specialized position guiding large vessels through intricate and congested ports. She already holds pilotage credentials in six U.S. ports and is in the process of securing her seventh, becoming the first person in the U.S to hold that amount.
An accomplished athlete who enjoys competitive swimming and CrossFit, Captain Price attributes much of her strength and perseverance to her family—especially her mother, Cheryl, whose support has been a constant source of inspiration. She also credits mentors like Captain George Livingston and Captain Johanssen for shaping her journey and encouraging her pursuit of excellence.
Looking ahead, Captain Price remains focused on expanding her influence within the maritime sector, driven by a vision of safer waterways, stronger representation, and lasting impact.
