UC Merced PACE, which has been rapidly expanding its offerings over the last two years, with 1,000 new learners enrolled in the last year, provides a range of flexible, non-degree courses designed to upskill and reskill in areas such as business, technology, healthcare, and renewable energy. With a focus on workforce-responsive credentials, the unit delivers programs in convenient formats, including fully online, hybrid, in-person, multilingual, and custom modalities.

"This is about more than efficiency—it's about improving the student journey," said Michael Pierick, Director of Strategic Initiatives at UC Merced PACE. "We needed a platform that could grow with us while allowing staff to focus more on supporting learners and less on administrative tasks. Eduframe's integration with our payment provider, Salesforce, and Canvas LMS makes that possible."

The partnership with Eduframe comes after an RFP process, where UC Merced PACE sought a solution that would provide the flexibility and scalability necessary to meet the growing needs of its unit. One key factor in the decision was the positive feedback from Eduframe's reference customers, who highlighted the system's ability to drive operational efficiency while supporting diverse student journeys.

"From registration to course access, we want every step of the learner's experience to be intuitive and immediate," Pierick added. "With Eduframe, students are provisioned into Canvas right after registering—helping them get started without delay."

Annette Roberts Webbs, Dean of Professional & Continuing Education at UC Merced, echoed the importance of a seamless user experience. "Eduframe allows us to meet learners where they are from the moment they register. That's a game changer for our students."

Mieke Ridderhof, CMO & Managing Director of US and APAC at Drieam, expressed her enthusiasm about the partnership: "We're thrilled to support UC Merced in their journey to streamline and scale their Professional & Continuing Education programs. Eduframe's flexibility and automation capabilities will empower their team to focus on what matters most — enhancing the learning experience for their students while driving operational efficiency."

UC MercedPACE plans to leverage Eduframe's capabilities to further align its offerings with the needs of learners and employers, ensuring students are equipped with the skills required for success in today's workforce.
