InventHelp Inventor Develops New Kitchen Sink Gripper Plug (ACC-461)
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 28, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "As a plumber, I thought there should be a plug that would completely seal the kitchen sink strainer basket while clearing the blockage on the opposite side," said an inventor, from Ramseur, N.C., "so I invented the KITCHEN SINK GRIPPER PLUG. My design would serve as a viable alternative to drain snakes or harsh chemicals to clear blockages."
The patent-pending invention provides a more effective method of clearing a blockage within a kitchen sink drain. In doing so, it would completely seal off one side of a two-basin kitchen sink while the opposite side was plunged to clear blockages. As a result, it prevents water from back filling into the opposite sink or losing the back pressure required to properly clear the blockage. It also saves time and effort. The invention features a practical and reusable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for plumbers, households, etc.
The original design was submitted to the National sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
