The forum lineup features more than 50 national experts and innovators who will share their expertise on groundbreaking advancements in cardiovascular technology. Attendees will hear from professionals in the field and gain early insights into emerging investment trends in the latest technologies.
Addressed will be multiple aspects of the newly emerging frontiers in cardiovascular medicine and potential investment opportunities. The event will be emceed by Darshana Zaveri, founder and managing partner of Catalyst Health Ventures (CHV). She has led several investments in the medical device, women's health and diagnostics markets in addition to being actively involved in all aspects of fund management including investments and capital raising. The keynote speaker will be John Simpson, M.D., MS, PhD. Dr. Simpson has revolutionized the field of medicine through a variety of innovations that have fundamentally altered how physicians treat cardiovascular disease. Dr. Simpson has started numerous companies dedicated to providing patients with novel therapies in a variety of different areas, including directional atherectomy (coronary and peripheral), chronic total occlusions (CTOs), ultrasound, percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty, suture-mediated vascular closure, and local drug delivery.
Of special note, the Pediatric Innovations in Cardiovascular Medicine Panel will be moderated by Mike Mussallem, former Chairman and CEO, Edwards Lifesciences and co-founder of The Linda and Mike Mussallem Foundation.
Additionally, forum judges will hear capital and growth presentation pitches from eight cardiovascular tech entrepreneurs on stage. The judge's winner will receive an American Heart Association Innovation Network Membership Award, valued at $25,000.
