Leigha Janelle Curry, author of "Found and Lost," shares her journey of faith, survival, and family.

About the Book
In Found and Lost, Leigha opens up about her emotional and spiritual struggles after being abandoned behind a school in Houston's Acres Home neighborhood. In her debut memoir, Curry reveals how faith, music, and sheer determination have guided her through a lifetime of emotional challenges. Her memoir is filled with raw emotion, reflecting on abandonment, feelings of inferiority, and the power of faith. Throughout the book, Leigha ties her experiences to the music that helped her heal, curating a playlist to accompany each chapter that she hopes will carry another lost soul on their journey

"I didn't know if I had anything meaningful to say or if anyone would want to hear my story," Leigha writes in the preface. "But telling my story became a way to connect with others, inspire, educate, and heal. It's a survival story, full of powerful emotions, but above all, it's a story of God's grace."

Leigha's message is simple yet powerful: "Never let your beginnings decide your future. Never let your emotions control you. Be relentless in pushing yourself higher and higher." With hope and authenticity, Found and Lost offers an uplifting narrative that demonstrates how faith can transform even the most challenging circumstances.

About Leigha Janelle Curry
Leigha Janelle Curry is a proud mother, wife, educator, and survivor. Raised in East Houston, she is a testament to the power of hard work and love from her supportive parents. Leigha earned her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Downtown and her Master's in Education Administration from Texas Southern University. She is currently a Texas-certified teacher, administrator, and, recently, superintendent with over twenty years of experience in education. She has spent over two decades shaping young minds in the education system and is passionate about using her voice to inspire others.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Leigha is a loving wife to her husband, Jason Curry, and a devoted mother to their two wonderful children. She credits her family's unwavering faith and love for shaping her into the woman she is today.

The Power of Music
Throughout Found and Lost, Leigha shares how music became a vital lifeline during her toughest times. From gospel to old-school R&B to even Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, her playlist reflects the sounds that helped her overcome personal struggles. "Music was my therapy," she says. "It grounded me when I was feeling anxious, angry, or lost. I want others to experience the same healing through the music that carried me."

Each chapter in Found and Lost is paired with a song that helped Leigha find strength, healing, and peace during her life's most challenging moments. The book includes her personal playlist, "My Life Line!", and encourages readers to create their own playlists as a tool for mental and emotional well-being.

A Story of Faith and Family
Leigha's journey of self-discovery took a turn when she met her husband, Jason, in 2003. Initially just a friendship, their connection blossomed into a love story prophesied by her uncle, Bishop G. Emerson Scott. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and family.

Their bond has grown stronger over the past seventeen years, and Leigha attributes much of her strength to her husband's unwavering support and the close-knit family they've created. She reflects on their relationship with gratitude: "I never thought the man I met over the phone would become my husband, but what an incredible husband he is."

Impact and Legacy
Found and Lost is not only Leigha's personal story but also an invitation for readers to reflect on their own lives and recognize the importance of faith, perseverance, and the relationships that help us grow. Leigha's journey, as documented in her book, serves as a powerful reminder that no matter the struggles we face, there is always hope and purpose ahead.

"I hope that this book will inspire someone else who may feel lost, abandoned, or hopeless," says Leigha. "I want them to know they are not alone and that their future can be bright no matter where they come from."
