Convoy of Hope Delivering Second Round of Relief Supplies to Texas Flood Survivors
On-Site Interviews Available with National Spokesperson Ethan Forhetz July 15–16
SPRINGFIELD, Mo., July 15, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the devastating flooding across the Texas Hill Country, Convoy of Hope has mobilized to bring immediate relief to thousands impacted by this historic disaster. Now, some areas are re-flooding, impacting flood survivors for a second time in two weeks. This additional round of storms and subsequent flooding has especially affected first responders, halting their search-and-rescue efforts.
So far, Convoy of Hope has delivered and distributed more than 200,000 pounds of critical supplies, including food, water, hygiene kits, and cleaning products, in hard-hit communities from Kerrville to San Saba and across multiple counties.
Additional tractor trailers carrying vital aid are en route and expected to arrive midweek in San Angelo. Upon arrival, Convoy's team, along with local volunteers and church partners, will begin unloading and distributing this new round of supplies to families and first responders in need.
"This is one of the most catastrophic flooding events in recent U.S. history," said Ethan Forhetz, Vice President of Public Engagement for Convoy of Hope. "Lives have been lost, homes destroyed and communities overwhelmed. Convoy of Hope is here to bring practical help and hope to the people of central Texas."
Convoy of Hope continues to work with local officials, faith-based organizations and community leaders to assess needs and coordinate distribution efforts across multiple counties.
"Long after the attention of the nation has shifted away from central Texas, Convoy of Hope will still be there," said Forhetz. "We are committed to supporting both immediate relief and long-term recovery for affected families."
Forhetz will be available for on-camera and on-site interviews Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15–16, in central Texas. He can provide real-time updates from the field and discuss the ongoing response efforts, the unique role of faith-based disaster relief and the power of compassion and hope during crisis.
Convoy of Hope is a global, faith-based organization that serves vulnerable communities. Since its founding in 1994, Convoy of Hope has served 300 million people in more than 130 countries around the world.
