The fund seeks to add premium income to manage interest rate risk tied to long-duration treasuries, while seeking to capture price appreciation

NEW YORK, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Global X Management Company LLC ("Global X"), the New York-based provider of exchange-traded funds (ETFs), today announced the launch of the Global X Treasury Bond Enhanced Income ETF (TLTX), an actively managed treasury solution that invests primarily in U.S. Treasuries, Treasury STRIPS and ETFs holding these securities, and which writes weekly call options to pursue premiums in an effort to manage interest-rate sensitivity.

Global X by Mirae Asset

"TLTX seeks to address a common need for investors: income generation with thoughtful risk management," said Pedro Palandrani, Head of Product Research & Development at Global X. "Rising interest rates and economic uncertainty have the potential to influence the value of treasuries in an income portfolio. The fund seeks to address this by writing weekly call options on treasury ETFs to generate premium income, helping mitigate risk associated with long-duration treasuries as the premiums received can help offset some of the potential downside. The fund offers an alternative & strategic potential income stream from a familiar asset class, offering investors monthly distributions, active management, and potential upside participation in a single ETF."

TLTX is the 15th Global X ETF that employs a covered call writing approach, a strategy that the firm first pioneered with the largest covered call ETF on the market [i], the Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF (QYLD). Today, the firm is a leader in covered call investing with the Global X covered call suite and covered call & growth suite comprising over $21 bn in AUM as of June 30, 2025.

TLTX is an actively managed ETF that seeks to maintain exposure to higher-yielding fixed income securities while aiming to provide monthly distributions. By applying a call option overlay to only a portion of its assets, the fund preserves flexibility for capital appreciation in a portion of its core bond holdings.

Important Information

Investing involves risk, including the possible loss of principal. Fixed income securities are subject to loss of principal during periods of rising interest rates. An investment in the fund is not insured or guaranteed by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or any other government agency. TLTX is non-diversified.

TLTX engages in options trading. An option is a contract sold by one party to another that gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to buy (call) or sell (put) a security at an agreed upon price within a certain period or on a specific date. A covered call option involves holding a long position in a particular asset and writing a call option on that same asset with the goal of realizing additional income from the option premium. By selling covered call options, the fund limits its opportunity to profit from an increase in the price of the underlying asset above the exercise price, but continues to bear the risk of a decline in the asset. A liquid market may not exist for options held by the fund. While the fund receives premiums for writing the call options, the price it realizes from the exercise of an option could be substantially below the asset's current market price.

Shares of ETFs are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.

Carefully consider the fund's investment objectives, risks, and charges and expenses before investing. This and other information can be found in the fund's full or summary prospectuses, which may be obtained at globalxetfs.com. Please read the prospectus carefully before investing.
