Inaugural VFA Summer Games 2026, Waitlist Now Open as Las Vegas Prepares for a Citywide Youth Sports Competition and Festival
LAS VEGAS, July 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- No Enhancements. No Shortcuts. Just Heart. VFA Summer Games 2026 defies the trend of performance hype with a movement built on grit, health and integrity.
At a time when some events are pushing the boundaries of human limits through enhancement experiments, the VFA Summer Games 2026 is drawing a different line.
With youth safety at the center, Vegas for Athletes brings together thousands of young athletes to compete in 13 sports while promoting heart screenings, CPR awareness, and a spirit of competition that creates unforgettable experiences.
A New Kind of Youth Sports Experience: Built for Impact, Designed for the City
This is not a tournament. It's not a camp. It's not a league.
The VFA Summer Games 2026 is an experience unlike anything Las Vegas has seen, a multi-sport competition fused with the energy of a citywide festival, built to unite athletes, families, and the community.
"We are planning signature elements rarely offered in youth sports. A grand opening ceremony to kick off the Games. Official medal presentations to honor champions the way they deserve. A closing celebration designed to bring athletes and families together in a citywide finale," says Troy Roques, Executive Director for Vegas for Athletes.
Every game will count. The format? Single elimination. Race for the gold. Athletes from 12U to 17U will take the stage, representing their teams and their city in an environment that feels bigger than sport itself.
Key Initiatives and Strategic Partnerships
The 2026 VFA Summer Games is finalizing a lineup of premier venues that match the scale and vision of this citywide event. While some locations are already secured, additional venues will continue to be confirmed in the coming months to ensure the highest quality experience for athletes and families alike.
Swimming is slated for the Henderson Multigenerational Center, known for its state-of-the-art aquatic facilities. Tennis prelims are planned for the Darling Tennis Center, with championship matches expected at the prestigious Spanish Trail Country Club, a fitting stage for gold medal competition. Athlete orientation and check-in is planned for The George, giving participants a professional welcome to kick off their Games experience.
As the event grows, so do its partnerships. The Las Vegas Sports Academy (LVSA) will oversee the soccer division, bringing elite coaching to the field. The legendary Tarkanian family will present the Basketball Gold Medal Ceremony, a tribute to Las Vegas' sports heritage and a nod to its future stars.
