The principal investment objective of the Company is to achieve capital appreciation by investing in industries in the new-energy battery supply chain. The Company will be a long-only vehicle investing in listed companies operating businesses in the mining and battery-related industries. Investments will be technology and mineral agnostic – therefore there will be no risk to being ‘tied’ to any specific technology or mineral. The Company’s strategic investments aim to take advantage of the mismatch between demand and supply of key elements that go into making electric batteries. The Company may employ the use of options and/or warrants as a leveraged way to capitalise on upside growth. There is no formal geographic restriction on investing, though the Company will seek to minimize social, environmental and political risk exposure through careful due diligence and appropriate investment diversification. There is no formal benchmark; instead, the Company will see absolute return for its Shareholders.
