SHANGHAI, July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 4, 2025, DFRobot participated in the 4th National and the 2nd International Conference on Education (THE NICE EDU CMU 2025), organized by the Faculty of Education at Chiang Mai University, Thailand. With the theme "Innovative Learning and Emerging Technologies: Transforming Education for the Future," the conference brought together leading educators, scholars, and graduate students from around the world to discuss the latest trends, research, and innovations in education.
Key research sessions covered topics including Innovation and Technology for Teaching and Learning, Future Skills for Future Education, Inclusive Education, and other important areas, showcasing cutting-edge global trends and developments in education.
On July 5, DFRobot hosted a workshop at the Chiang Mai University Demonstration School (CMUD) titled "Workshop with Data Science: Discuss about STEM Tools: Collaboration." The workshop gathered 43 students alongside teachers, pre-service teachers, and staff.
During the workshop, DFRobot introduced its innovative UNIHIKER K10 AI Coding Board for K12 STEM and beginners. The UNIHIKER K10 stands out by combining vision AI, voice control, and TinyML machine learning in a single, compact device. It is equipped with a 2.8-inch color display, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and various sensors, including a 2MP camera, microphone, speaker, RGB lighting, and multiple environmental detectors. At the event, DFRobot showcased the UNIHIKER K10's voice and image recognition capabilities and demonstrated how it can be integrated with the XiaoZhi AI-ESP32 firmware. This integration transforms the UNIHIKER K10 into a conversational AI chatbot that can communicate in Thai. Through these hands-on activities, both teachers and students enhanced their creativity and problem-solving skills, gaining the ability to leverage AI to tackle real-world challenges in their everyday lives.
DFRobot also showcased its broader "Empowering the Future Learning with Artificial Intelligence Solutions" lineup. This comprehensive suite includes the UNIHIKER K10, alongside the UNIHIKER M10, a single-board computer designed to make Python programming accessible for both teachers and students, enabling them to begin coding in just two steps. Additionally, the micro:Maqueen Plus V3 was presented as an advanced STEAM educational robot for primary and secondary students, boasting robust expandability and competition-ready features to inspire hands-on robotics learning and innovation, and other educational products such as the BOSON AI Starter Kit.
"DFRobot's engaging presentations and interactive demonstrations sparked significant enthusiasm among educators and students to integrate AI and programming into education," said Sandy Zhang, CMO of DFRobot.
