Joining Radia's program are: Aciturri Aeronáutica, Akaer Engenharia, Astronautics Corporation of America, Element Digital Engineering, and Ingenium Technologies. These companies join Radia's growing global supplier base, which already includes Leonardo, MAGROUP Magnaghi Aerospace, Aernnova, and AFuzion.

Radia will exhibit for the first time at the Paris Air Show (Le Bourget) in June 2025, showcasing its breakthrough logistics platform and expanding global industrial base.

"WindRunner is more than an aircraft; it's a global response to one of the most pressing logistics problems of our time," said Mark Lundstrom, Founder and CEO of Radia. "These new partners bring not only deep aerospace expertise but also a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and transatlantic collaboration. Together, we are building the logistical backbone for next-generation energy, defense, and aerospace applications."

Partnering for Innovation and Scale

Aciturri Aeronáutica, a leader in composite aerostructures based in Spain, will lead the development of the WindRunner's composite tail structure (empennage). Engineering and planned future manufacturing activities will support local innovation and economic growth in Spain and across Europe.

"The scale and ambition of WindRunner is unlike anything in modern aviation," said María Eugenia Clemente, CEO of Aciturri. "We are proud to bring our aerostructures knowledge and expertise to this transformational platform and to play a role in redefining what is possible in cargo aviation."

Akaer Engenharia, a leading aerospace provider of aerostructures and integrated systems based in Brazil, will lead the development of the aircraft's pressurized cabin and support key systems integration.

"It is an honor to contribute to a project that will redefine the future of global aviation. The development of the WindRunner is challenging and Akaer's role in it reflects the trust earned through decades of excellence, innovation, and proven expertise," said Cesar Silva, CEO of Akaer.

Astronautics Corporation of America, a Wisconsin-based leader in the design, development, and manufacture of avionics equipment, will serve as the developer and lead integrator of WindRunner's avionics systems.

"Astronautics is honored to support a program that brings cutting-edge avionics and cybersecurity to a first-of-its-kind aircraft," said Robert Atac, President of Astronautics. "We see WindRunner as a platform that will reshape expectations in global aerospace logistics."

Element Digital Engineering, based in the United Kingdom and part of the global Element Materials Technology group, will support the design and integration of WindRunner's fuel system as a leader in design, development, testing and certification of fuel and fluid systems.

"Element is thrilled to contribute critical systems engineering to a platform designed to solve real-world energy and mobility challenges," said Lee Brough, Vice President Aerospace and Defense EMEA. "This partnership exemplifies our commitment to high-impact, technically rigorous aerospace programs."

And Ingenium Technologies, a proven provider of engineering services based in Illinois, will develop WindRunner's high-lift control system.

"WindRunner is an incredible aircraft that represents the future of strategic logistics," said Paul Wild, Co-Founder of Ingenium Technologies. "We're very excited to apply our experience in aircraft systems to help enable this breakthrough in cargo transport."

These collaborations reflect Radia's commitment to building a global supply network, reducing logistical bottlenecks, and delivering a robust foundation for future-ready cargo infrastructure. As the program continues to expand, Radia will announce additional strategic suppliers and final assembly partnerships.

The WindRunner™ – A Game Changer for Outsized Cargo

Radia's WindRunner™ is designed for dual-use applications in energy, defense, aerospace, and disaster response. It is the largest aircraft ever developed by volume, with a 7,700 m3 cargo bay and an 80-metric-tonne payload capacity. It can land on unpaved runways as short as 1,800 meters and requires no specialized ground infrastructure.

By enabling point-to-point delivery of oversized components like 100+ meter wind turbine blades, satellites, or armored vehicles, WindRunner is unlocking global access, reducing costs, and making it possible to build in places never previously considered.

From Europe to the Americas, Radia is building not just an aircraft, but a global support system for large-scale logistics, in a world where flexibility, speed, and resiliency have never been more essential.

About Radia

Radia has developed the WindRunner™, the largest aircraft ever built by volume. Designed for dual use, it enables efficient delivery of oversized cargo to locations with limited infrastructure—serving applications in clean energy, defense, aerospace, and emergency response. Radia has been recognized by the World Economic Forum as a 'WEF Unicorn' and by Endeavor as an 'Endeavor Entrepreneur.' Learn more at www.radia.com.
