Opening to the public for the first time since 2022, in a newly renovated and reimagined space, The Garden Restaurant welcomes guests back for a memorable dining experience.

SALT LAKE CITY, July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Garden Restaurant officially opened its doors on Monday, June 30th, in the historic Joseph Smith Memorial Building in downtown Salt Lake City. Located at the corner of South Temple and Main, the restaurant is positioned on the ground floor and features new direct, street-level entrances; one on South Temple and one onto the Temple Square Plaza.

The Garden Restaurant is the first restaurant to open as part of the Temple Square renovation project, which seamlessly blends modern design with timeless elegance, preserving the historical aspects of the buildings. Visitors to The Garden can enjoy their meals on the patio, in a beautifully renovated dining area, or the main lobby of the historic building.

Featuring a delicious selection of savory soups, fresh salads, and made-to-order sandwiches, the updated menu at The Garden offers both classic favorites and new flavors. Prior visitors will enjoy classic favorites, such as the Turkey Pot Pie and Lion House Roll, which remain featured on the menu.

The Garden offers a new experience with quick lunch service and will be open Monday through Friday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Garden Restaurant is owned and operated by Temple Square Hospitality, a company of Deseret Management Corporation (DMC). Further information about The Garden can be found at TheGardenSLC.com.
