The Rookies to Debut July 6th on FETV
Aaron Spelling-produced Police Drama to Launch with a "Red, White, and the Blue" Marathon
SOUTH BEND, Ind., June 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- FETV (Family Entertainment Television), home to beloved and timeless television series and movies carried across cable, satellite, and virtual platforms, announced today that The Rookies will join the network's programming lineup starting Sunday, July 6th with a "Red, White, and the Blue" marathon from 9a-3p ET. The show will begin in its regular time slot the following day at 3:15p ET weekdays. As with all series on FETV, The Rookies will air in its original, uncut format.

Created by Rita Lakin, The Rookies stars Georg Stanford Brown, Sam Melville, and Michael Ontkean as three rookie officers in the fictional Southern California Police Department. Kate Jackson also stars as Jill Danko, a registered nurse who regularly interacts with the officers in the line of duty. The series aired on ABC from 1972 to 1976 and spawned a spin-off series titled S.W.A.T.
