WESTERLY, R.I., May 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Washington Trust Company recently appointed three banking professionals to a newly-formed retail banking business development team.

Washington Trust's recently appointed Business Banking Relationship Officers include Peter Renden, Marcus Charlemagne, and Armen Janigian.

The Business Banking Relationship Officers will work closely with Washington Trust's retail branch network, to deliver holistic, relationship-driven solutions to businesses across the Bank's footprint. Their focus is to uncover opportunities, understand the unique financial needs of local businesses, and provide tailored guidance and support.

Michelle Kile, Executive Vice President and Chief Retail Banking Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the new team, stating, "Our retail branches have long served as the backbone of our local communities.   • Marcus Charlemagne offers a wealth of knowledge in banking solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. He has been with Washington Trust since 2015, and most recently served as Vice President and Branch Manager of Washington Trust's North Providence Branch.

  • Armen Janigian brings extensive experience in business development and relationship management, with a proven track record of supporting local enterprises and fostering community growth. He has more than 40 years of experience at all levels within the banking industry and has been with Washington Trust since 2023.

  • Peter Rendenbrings more than 15 years of experience with local and regional banking institutions to his new role at Washington Trust. He is highly skilled in providing exceptional service to individuals and businesses alike and has specialized knowledge in cash management systems and consumer lending.
