AEC Cares Day of Service Made Possible By ConstructConnect and Industry, Community Partners
2025 project to benefit The Catholic Charities Teen Center at St. Peter's in Boston
BOSTON, June 2, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On Wednesday, June 4, AEC Cares – a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that brings together members of the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industries – will host a one-day "blitz build" Day of Service to benefit Catholic Charities Boston, one of the most comprehensive non-profit providers of social services in Massachusetts. This event is made possible by support from industry and community partners.
Through partnerships with local nonprofits, building material suppliers, contractors, and design professionals, AEC Cares has brought new hope to communities in cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Las Vegas, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. Each year, the organization selects a new city and project that can have a lasting, positive impact on the local community.
On June 4, more than 100 volunteers will gather to renovate The Catholic Charities Teen Center at St. Peter's, which serves adolescents living in Dorchester's Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood during after school hours and throughout the summer months.
This year's AEC Cares event is sponsored by founding member and primary organizer ConstructConnect, a leading provider of software solutions for the construction industry, and other industry partners including YKK AP America Inc., Deltek, Forbo Flooring Systems, Andersen Windows Inc., Mapei, Rockwool, Altius Inspiro Inc., Lumina Datamatics, Gainsight, Visual Communications, Pittsburgh Paints Company, RAB Lighting, USG Corporation, ConstructConnect's Building Product Manufacturing Team, Sika Corporation, and Google, as well as pro bono team members The Whiting-Turner Contracting Co. and Stantec, and community partner Associated General Contractors of Massachusetts.
"AEC Cares is committed to changing spaces and lives through community-focused renovation projects," said President of AEC Cares and ConstructConnect Chief Product Officer Jennifer Johnson. "Our story is one of community, dedication, and the belief that small actions can lead to big changes, year after year. Thanks to the support of our partners, we are thrilled to bring that transformative vision to support the youth served by the Catholic Charities Boston Teen Center at St. Peter's."
