Originally co-written and produced by Lightman, the track captures the challenges and triumphs of embracing identity and maturity in an industry obsessed with youth.

Co-written with close friends, hit makers Shane Stevens (Lady A, Walker Hayes, Meghan Trainor) and Nash Overstreet (Taylor Swift, Kelly Rowland, Britney Spears), "Higher" was brought to life during a reflective songwriting retreat at Lightman's home shortly after she became a mother.
