IPSWICH, Mass., Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- An extensive, searchable digital archive of the independent, nonprofit political and literary magazine, Boston Review (BR), is now available through EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO). The Boston Review Magazine Archive will bring decades of Boston Review's trademark analysis, reporting and incisive commentary on politics and culture to institutions digitally for the first time.

This year, Boston Review is celebrating its 50th anniversary. For half a century, readers have come to Boston Review for constructive debate on the most pressing political and cultural questions of our times, back to its first issue with Susan Sontag and Julia Child. The archive makes Boston Review's collection from 1975 to 2010 available via EBSCO's digital magazine archive collection and includes 144 issues spanning politics, economics, literature, philosophy, science, technology, the arts and social justice.

Jasmine Parmley, Associate Publisher at Boston Review, says the partnership represents a shared commitment to making content accessible to a broader audience. "This collaboration ensures that our rich archive, with work by Robin D. G. Kelley, Noam Chomsky, Vivian Gornick, and others, will be newly accessible to researchers, educators, and readers around the world."

As with other EBSCO magazine archives, the newly released collections are offered as a one-time purchase, allowing libraries to secure ongoing access to vital content. Each issue in the digital archives is presented in its original, complete format. All articles and cover pages have been indexed with subject terms to allow users to quickly find relevant results and easily search using EBSCOhost® and EBSCO Discovery Service.

Other magazine archives available in EBSCO's digital magazine archive collection include Academy of Management Collection Archive, The Magazine ANTIQUES, ARTnews, Art in America, Architectural Digest, The Atlantic, Bloomberg Businessweek, Ebony, Esquire, Food & Wine, Forbes, Fortune, Life, Maclean's, People, Southern Living, Sports Illustrated, TIME, Travel + Leisure, U.S. News & World Report and Vanity Fair.
