CD&R Foundation Announces Grants to Five Non-Profit Organizations in New York City
NEW YORK, June 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- CD&R (or the "Firm") today announced that the CD&R Foundation (the "Foundation") has made grants totaling $5 million to five non-profit organizations in New York City, which will be dispersed over the next four years. These organizations, identified as CD&R's Talent Solution Partners ("TSPs"), will support the Foundation's work to promote economic access and opportunity in the communities we aim to serve.
Since its inception in 2021, the Foundation has committed approximately $40 million to 37 organizations in CD&R's local communities of New York City, London, and the broader U.S. and U.K. The latest round of grants is awarded to the Ali Forney Center, BASTA, Commonpoint Queens, Emma's Torch and Hot Bread Kitchen, and brings CD&R's current New York TSP representation to 10 impactful non-profit organizations.
"The CD&R Foundation is pleased to support these five dynamic organizations, all of which help young people and untapped talent access the skills, resources and professional networks needed to thrive in employment," said the Foundation's President, Randy Moore. "It is through the collaborative support and initiatives of our exceptional TSP network and community that we will continue to advance equity through opportunity and strengthen the workforce development landscape in New York City."
The TSPs were selected in partnership with CD&R's New York Foundation Grants & Service Council, which consists of CD&R partners and employees. This 16-member council is a key component of the Foundation's governance, with responsibility for reviewing applications, interviewing non-profit executive leadership and ultimately recommending a slate of TSPs with associated grant quantum for the Foundation Board of Director's approval.
"CD&R's culture is anchored in talent, initiative, respect and perseverance," said Don Gogel, Chairman of both CD&R and the CD&R Foundation. "The Foundation provides our employees with ways to meaningfully demonstrate these values and deepen their impact by working with effective local organizations. We are proud that our employees will continue to have hands-on experience with innovative approaches to improve access to jobs which provide sustainable financial security and upward mobility."
