LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The China National Tourist Office (CNTO) in Los Angeles proudly participated in the City of Arcadia's annual Moon Festival (Mid-Autumn Festival) on October 4, 2025. Arcadia, a vibrant city in the San Gabriel Valley about 18 miles east of downtown Los Angeles, is known for its diverse and multicultural community.

As part of its outreach, CNTO hosted an exhibition booth and collaborated with Tours4Fun to promote exciting China travel itineraries while fostering cultural and tourism exchange. Visitors were welcomed to explore China's travel opportunities, pick up brochures, and speak directly with CNTO and Tours4Fun representatives about destinations, best travel seasons, and custom itineraries.

Also known as the Moon Festival, this annual event celebrates family unity, gratitude, and renewal. The festival featured live performances, traditional mooncakes, food vendors, and colorful lanterns—symbolizing hope and reunion under the full moon.

In Chinese tradition, the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the most significant holidays after the Lunar New Year. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunisolar calendar, when families gather to admire the full moon—an enduring symbol of completeness and togetherness.

At the Arcadia festival, CNTO's presence reflected its commitment to deepening community engagement and sharing Chinese heritage with Southern California audiences. Through its partnership with Tours4Fun, CNTO introduced accessible tour packages highlighting China's cultural richness, from historic cities and scenic landscapes to immersive local experiences.

This collaboration advances several shared goals:

  • Cultural Exchange & Awareness: Strengthening ties with local communities and broadening understanding of Chinese traditions.
  • Tourism Promotion: Transforming cultural curiosity into inspiration for future travel.
  • Community Engagement: Reinforcing how cultural celebration and tourism development can mutually enhance understanding.
  • Stimulating Travel Demand: Encouraging inbound tourism to China and supporting its image as a welcoming global destination.

The CNTO Los Angeles office continues to promote meaningful connections between China and American travelers through outreach events, partnerships, and destination marketing in the western region of the United States
