GOLD'S GYM POWERS THROUGH 2025 WITH STRATEGIC EXPANSION
Fitness authority opens locations in Texas, California and Washington, D.C., plus North America's first HYROX Performance Center
DALLAS, July 31, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Gold's Gym continues to evolve its iconic brand, inspired by its famous "Mecca of Bodybuilding" in Venice Beach, with a recently opened corporate flagship location in Austin, a premium Beverly Center location in Los Angeles and North America's first HYROX Performance Center in Little Elm, Texas.
The strategic expansion across key markets demonstrates Gold's Gym's commitment to innovation and accessible strength training nationwide as the company celebrates 60 years as a global leader in the fitness industry.
The new Austin flagship facility at 7301 Burnet Road, which opened June 30, represents Gold's Gym's largest investment in the Texas market to date. The 30,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility features dedicated HIIT zones, functional training areas, a 70-by-15-foot performance turf area, private posing room and recovery amenities — including HydroMassage and CryoLounge technology.
"Our newest openings reflect our continued commitment to meeting members where they are in their fitness journey while staying ahead of industry trends," said Danny Waggoner, Gold's Gym co-CEO. "Whether it's world-class strength training or cutting-edge performance competition, we're delivering bold tools and inspiring spaces that speak to the dedicated fitness community."
The Beverly Center location at 8500 Beverly Blvd., which opened July 14, brings premium fitness to Los Angeles' premier shopping district. Owned and operated by Gold's Gym SoCal, the facility features an Atlantis Strength training zone, the largest indoor training turf area in the Gold's Gym network and luxury amenities including steam rooms and saunas.
Another recent enhancement to Gold's is its new partnership with HYROX, the world's fastest-growing fitness racing series, which positions the brand at the forefront of functional fitness competition. The Little Elm HYROX Performance Center, which opened June 6 just outside Dallas, offers official competition equipment and certified coaching, catering to the growing demand for performance-based training. Gold's will continue rolling out the HYROX Performance Center concept throughout its system.
Gold's Gym also recently celebrated gym openings at the NoMaCNTR in Washington, D.C., and in Hamilton, a suburb of San Jose in Northern California. Both feature Gold's Gym's updated design, created in the image of its legendary original location in Venice Beach.
Additional 2025 developments include major upgrades to the San Antonio Bandera Trails gym this fall, adding over 5,000 square feet of workout space with expanded equipment offerings.
The expansion comes as the fitness industry experiences unprecedented growth in strength training and functional fitness segments. Gold's Gym has opened four new locations this year, with additional franchise openings planned through 2025.
