Insight Global Releases 2025 Employee Sentiment Report Highlighting Urgent Need for Better Onboarding and Workplace Culture
ATLANTA, Sept. 23, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Insight Global, a leading staffing and professional services firm, today announced the results of its 2025 Employee Sentiment Report, revealing critical insights into how American workers feel about their jobs—and what employers can do to improve engagement and retention.
The independent survey, conducted by Atomik Research, polled over 900 U.S. workers across technology, finance, engineering, and consulting sectors. Data from the report reveals that only 35% of employees feel engaged at work, and the same percentage feel essential in their roles.
"These numbers are a wake-up call," said Jessica Calzaretta, President at Insight Global. "When employees don't feel connected or valued, productivity and retention suffer. But the good news is, companies can change this—starting with how they onboard and support their people."
Key findings from the report include:
- 4 in 5 workers say they'd stay longer in a role with better onboarding
- 22% have left a job within the first 90 days, often due to poor training
- Workers are 8x more likely to feel engaged in a strong workplace culture
- Workers say it takes them 6-7 months to feel settled in their role
The report also outlines actionable strategies for employers, including role-specific onboarding, intentional culture-building, and connecting daily work to a larger purpose.
"A defined culture is not a nice-to-have," said Brindy Pickett, Vice President of Consultant Engagement at Insight Global. "We've found it's a foundational driver of engagement, retention, and performance. If you're intentional about the culture you want, it breeds success."
Insight Global's "people-first" approach continues to guide its partnerships with organizations nationwide, helping them build stronger teams, more resilient cultures, and greater technology for its customers.
