Intercontinental Exchange Q3 Earnings Top, Revenues Lag Estimates
Intercontinental Exchange ICE reported third-quarter 2025 adjusted earnings per share of $1.71, which beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 5.6%. The bottom line increased 10.3% on a year-over-year basis.Shares gained 0.2% in the pre-market trading session to reflect the outperformance.Intercontinental delivered solid results in all three segments. The company’s performance reflected the strength of a balanced and diversified business as well as the results of the strategic investments it has made. Adjusted free cash flow was $3.2 billion, up 20.8% year over year.Third-Quarter 2025 GuidanceGAAP operating expenses are expected in the range of $1.225-$1.265 billion. Adjusted operating expenses are projected to be between $1.005 billion and $1.015 billion. Non-operating expense is anticipated to be between $180 million and $185 million. The share count is forecast to be in the range of 569-575 million.Full-Year GuidanceExchanges' recurring revenue growth is now expected to be 5% to 6%.GAAP operating expenses are expected in the range of $4.99-$5 billion. Adjusted operating expenses are projected to be between $3.933 billion and $3.943 billion. The effective tax rate is expected to be 23-25%.Share Buyback and Dividend UpdateICE repurchased $894 million of its common stock and paid $831 million in dividends in the first nine months of 2025.The board of directors approved a dividend of 48 cents per share for the third quarter of 2025.
