PITTSBURGH, Nov. 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I'm a firefighter/EMS, and I find it difficult to scale the sides of fire trucks to access the side compartments for loading hoses," said an inventor, from La Porte, Texas, "so I invented the ACCESS POINT STEP. My design would greatly simplify a normally-tedious process while also maintaining a high level of safety for first responders."

The invention provides improved access to a side compartment on a fire truck for loading hose. In doing so, it would elevate and reposition the firefighter precisely where needed. As a result, it eliminates the need to climb up the side of a fire truck to access the side compartment and load the hose. It also increases safety and convenience. The invention features a stable and foldable design that is easy to use so it is ideal for fire departments.

The original design was submitted to the Houston sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
