Restaurant brand brings bold takes on homestyle cooking to one of The Carolinas' fastest-growing suburban communities

INDIAN LAND, S.C., July 7, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Metro Diner, the family-friendly restaurant famed for modern takes on classic American comfort food, has opened its first location in the Indian Land/Fort Mill area. Located at 2077 Parkway Drive, Suite 101 in the CrossRidge retail-commercial center, the 3,258-square-foot diner seats 94 guests inside plus 32 on its covered patio. The new location, 20 miles south of the Charlotte metro, is owned and operated by Managing Partner Josh Collins.

Metro Diner opens new location in Indian Land.

"I'm thrilled to bring Metro Diner to this fast-growing community," said Collins, a Charlotte native with over 20 years of experience in the restaurant industry, 8 of which being with the Metro Diner in Pineville, NC. "We've reimagined some of America's favorite dishes to deliver an experience that will keep guests coming back to try everything on the menu."

Known for hearty portions and all-day breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings, Metro Diner's menu showcases comfort food favorites – from a variety of omelets and breakfast platters to BBQ ribs and specialty burgers made with 100% Angus beef.

Metro Diner's menu has earned national recognition, including a feature on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives with Guy Fieri on Food Network, where Fieri raved about the Iron City Meatloaf. A love of meatloaf is something Fieri and the diner's Managing Partner have in common. "I love the Iron City Meatloaf's made-from-scratch recipe, unique 'crust', and how it tastes just like Grandma's cooking," said Collins.

Topping the long list of Metro Diner favorites is the famous Fried Chicken & Waffle featuring half of a fried chicken atop a Belgian waffle, topped with decadent strawberry butter, and served with signature sweet-and-spicy sauce. It is a fan favorite for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Collins looks forward to getting to know the growing community of Indian Land and supporting local organizations that serve first responders and children on the autism spectrum. His location also participates in Metro Diner's ongoing offer of 10% off for uniformed first responders and active or retired military members.

Metro Diner Indian Land's hours will initially be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, with a plan to extend operating hours to serve dinner in the near future. For more information, call 803-402-3173 or visit www.metrodiner.com.
