National Institute of Building Sciences Announces New Board Directors and Board Officers

WASHINGTON, June 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The National Institute of Building Sciences is pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has recently elected four new Directors and the 2026 Board Officers. These distinguished leaders bring invaluable expertise and vision to the organization, further strengthening its mission to advance the built environment for the public interest.

Joining the Board are:

  • Derrick Harmon – Director, Technology & Digital, Disney Experiences
  • Amy Marks – Senior Vice President, Compass Datacenters
  • Dominic Sims – President, Jupiter Advisory Group and Former Chief Executive Officer, International Code Council
  • Robert Swain – Adjunct Professor, Department of Engineering and Program Management, The Citadel

The newly appointed Directors will serve a three-year term beginning October 1, 2025, working alongside existing Board members to drive innovation in building safety, sustainability, and resilience nationwide.

Additionally, the following Board members have been elected to Officer positions:

  • Justin Boone (Vice Chair) – Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates, Inc.
  • Nancy Novak (Treasurer) – Compass Datacenters
  • Evelyn Fujimoto (Secretary, reappointed) – EMF Collaborative
