GSV Makes Bett on the Future of Learning: Largest EdTech community in the world with over 100,000 participants in five events across four continents

LONDON and SAN DIEGO, July 30, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Bett and GSV announced today that they are combining to create the largest and most impactful education innovation community in the world.

Bett, started in 1985 in London, has built its sterling reputation by being on the forefront of education technology for educators, students, and parents. It now hosts annual conferences in London, São Paulo, and Asia with over 90,000 attendees and over 70 Ministries of Education.

The GSV Summit—founded in 2010 in partnership with Arizona State University—has been called "the Davos of Education" and "the must-attend EdTech conference" by bringing together over 15,000 global leaders in education, entrepreneurship, technology, finance, and government. The North Star of the Summit from its origin is the aspiration for education technology to give everyone the opportunity to participate in the future through access to high-quality learning.

"In a global marketplace and knowledge-based economy, education makes the difference—not only for an individual, but for a company, and even for a country," said Michael Moe, Co-founder, GSV Summit. "For sixteen years, it's been our deepest honor and privilege to partner with Arizona State University, which has ranked number one in innovation in the United States for the last ten years by U.S. News & World Report and has been a global model of excellence at scale. GSV stands for Global Silicon Valley—stretching from Boston to Austin, from Chicago to São Paulo, from Mumbai to Shanghai, and Dubai."

The united platform of Bett and GSV will host events on four continents with over 100,000 participants. A key benefit of the combination is the acceleration of high-impact ideas for this rich and diverse community. Past keynotes include Bill Gates, Tony Blair, George W. Bush, Sheryl Sandberg, Vinod Khosla, Condoleezza Rice, Bill Gurley, John Doerr, Sarah Friar, and Sam Altman. Additionally, Secretaries of Education Duncan, King, Spellings, DeVos, Cardona, and McMahon have all participated in the Summit.

Jean Eddy, President and CEO of American Student Assistance (ASA), said, "ASU+GSV stands out as a premier event that truly makes a difference in the world of education and career development. Like prior years, this year's Summit was a transformative experience. Innovation was at the forefront, creating a fertile ground for forward-thinking initiatives. The Summit brought together a wide range of stakeholders to address major challenges in education, career development, and workforce readiness. The leadership's strong commitment to inclusive voices ensured all perspectives were heard, aligning perfectly with ASA's values of equity and representation and created a unique community of collaboration."

Mark Shashoua, CEO of Hyve, commented: "Together, GSV Summit and Bett form a powerful new alliance across the global learning landscape. Our Bett customers tell us all the time they want to make more connections in the US – now with GSV Summit having Hyve as its home, we can make that happen.

"Founders Deborah and Michael have built an incredible brand, they are unwavering in their dedication to advancing the education sector and we're delighted they, along with their fantastic team, will remain a driving force behind this prestigious event.
