WOODSIDE, Calif., May 21, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- #WeRideTogether, a non-profit whose mission is to prevent sexual misconduct in sport through education, awareness, and resources, has developed the Safeguarding Essentials Template (SET) Package to support sporting organizations in creating their basic safeguarding documents. The SET Package was developed from an athlete-informed, community-centric, evidence-based, and trauma-informed lens.

The package includes a Risk Assessment, Code of Conduct, Reporting Form, and Safeguarding Policy meant to help sporting organizations develop and implement robust, customized, and tangible safeguarding policies with the intention of preventing abuse and keeping athletes safe from harm.

"The SET Package provides access to simple safeguarding document creation for any sporting organization for free, so that they can protect their athletes proactively."
The SET Package contains detailed instructions for the use and development of each essential safeguarding document, meant to invoke reflection and introspection. Once users have considered their organizations' unique risk profiles, they can fill out straightforward, understandable forms, which will be returned by #WeRideTogether in the form of their personalized safeguarding policy.
