They are not classified as developmental reprotoxic, so they can often replace n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) and n-ethyl-2-pyrrolidone (NEP), as well as other solvents like dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dipropylene glycol dimethyl ether (DMM).
