Court says it may allow filming of Yoon's trial if new request is submitted

The court presiding over former President Yoon Suk Yeol’s trial on insurrection-related charges said it may consider approving courtroom filming if a new request is properly submitted, explaining that a previous request was denied due to procedural delays, according to the Kyunghyang Shinmun on Monday. The Seoul Central District Court’s Criminal Division 25, presided by Judge Ji Gwi-yeon, addressed the issue during Yoon’s ongoing trial. “Two filming requests were recently submitted, but they came in too late,” the court said. “We were unable to follow the necessary procedure and ask the defendant, so the requests were dismissed.
