The strategic appointments come at a pivotal time as HarmonyCares continues to scale its risk-based, in-home primary care delivery model to more communities across the U.S.

TROY, Mich., May 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- HarmonyCares, a leading value-based provider of in-home primary care services for people with complex healthcare needs, has made several new strategic leadership appointments to support the company's rapid expansion.

  • Heidi Johnson has joined HarmonyCares as Chief People Officer. She brings more than 20 years of experience leading HR teams in talent acquisition, talent management, and HR business partner roles. Heidi's extensive experience developing and executing strategic people and culture initiatives to support fast-paced organizational growth is an asset to HarmonyCares' rapidly growing team and culture. 
  • Brooks Newman was appointed Chief Legal Officer. Brooks has extensive experience that spans more than two decades and a passion for public/private partnerships that drive innovative care models aligning a broad set of stakeholders. Brooks's experience includes serving at a publicly traded national health plan as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, as well as Chief Medicare and Medicaid Compliance Officer.
  • Dan Santmyer was named Chief Actuarial Officer. He brings more than three decades of experience as an actuary managing risk for health payers and providers, using data-driven strategies to model value-based care contracts, improve outcomes, and reduce the total cost of care across complex populations.

In addition to the new appointees, HarmonyCares Senior Vice President of Patient Acquisition and Experience, Shannon Adams, was promoted to Chief Experience Officer. In the company's first-ever Chief Experience Officer role, Shannon will be responsible for driving company growth through strategic patient and employee experience initiatives.
