InventHelp Inventor Develops New Solar Charging Accessory for Electric Vehicles (KXK-182)
PITTSBURGH, July 24, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- "I wanted to create an easy way to charge a vehicle battery when parked outside in the sun," said an inventor, from Cookeville, Tenn., "so I invented the SOLAR CAP. My design would be easy to apply, and it could provide added protection for the parked vehicle as it allows for it to be charged anywhere, folded up and placed in the trunk & go."
The patent-pending invention provides a foldable solar charging feature for electric vehicles that can be easily stored in the trunk. In doing so, it eliminates the need to rely solely upon electrical power from a plug-in source. It also would provide a jump for a 12volt battery and keep the vehicle exterior clean and protected from dust, dirt, and debris while parked. The invention features a weatherproof design that is easy to use so it is ideal for the owners of electric vehicles. Additionally, a prototype model and technical drawings are available upon request.
The original design was submitted to the Knoxville sales office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
