LS Electric Co., a South Korean electric equipment maker, said Monday it has secured a $91.9 million order to supply high- and low-voltage power distribution systems and transformers for a large-scale artificial intelligence (AI) data center from a U.S. tech company. Under the contract, LS Electric will provide the full range of power distribution systems and transformers for the electrical and data center machinery rooms within server rooms dedicated to AI machine learning by April 2026, according to the company. The project is part of a broader power equipment supply initiative for an AI data center under construction in Tennessee. The company did not disclose the name of its U.S. client. The latest deal follows a 310 billion-won ($213.2 million) contract signed last year with the same U.S. client. LS Electric said the latest order enables it to deliver all essential power equipment, from low- to high-voltage, for a hyperscale data center in the United States, a key hub for global AI investment.Weiter zum vollständigen Artikel bei Korea Times
