ATLANTA, July 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Endless Mode, a new site dedicated to games, anime, theme parks, and interactive entertainment, launches today as part of the Paste Media family, with daily coverage of the worlds of play and fun under the direction of editor in chief Garrett Martin, the longtime editor of Paste Magazine's gaming section.
Endless Mode—a new site dedicated to games, anime, theme parks, and interactive entertainment—launches today.EndlessMode.com will expand on the industry-leading games content produced by Paste Games under Garrett Martin's leadership, bolstering its focus on video games with daily coverage of anime, theme parks, tabletop games, and pinball. Former Paste Games assistant editor Elijah Gonzalez will work alongside Martin as associate editor, helping to manage a diverse roster of contributing writers with decades of combined experience throughout games media. Together they'll help define the conversation around games, anime, and theme parks with thought-provoking criticism, clear-eyed journalism, and a passion for their fields of expertise.
Martin will lead with over two decades of experience in journalism, criticism, and digital media. Since 2011 he has edited Paste's gaming section, helping to launch the careers of some of the most respected critics and journalists in games, and exploring games' growing importance within our culture. He also edited multiple other sections at Paste during his tenure, serving as Senior Editor since 2019, and guiding Paste's acclaimed coverage of theme parks, immersive art, and interactive entertainment. His passion for prioritizing new and diverse voices and track record of curating compelling, industry-impacting content will establish Endless Mode as an enthusiastic and perceptive authority within the worlds of games, anime, and theme parks.
"Launching Endless Mode is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I couldn't pass up," said Martin. "I'm beyond proud of the work Paste Games has done during my time there, and being able to expand that into a broader, deeper, more comprehensive site is an honor and a privilege. Games aren't just fun, but important; they're just as central to culture today as movies or TV, reflecting society as it is and influencing what it will become. At Endless Mode we'll have more space to discuss games than ever before, and during a time of seismic change for both the games industry and games media. And we'll be able to bring the same enthusiasm and critical rigor to anime, a distinct medium that grows increasingly dominant every year, and the immersive worlds of theme parks and interactive entertainment."
Gonzalez has quickly risen up the ranks at Paste Media since joining as an intern in 2022, establishing himself as a prominent critic and analyst of anime and games in the process. Upon becoming Paste's assistant TV editor in 2023 he spearheaded the site's coverage of anime, and as assistant games editor has played a vital part of the site's games coverage since the start of 2024. He'll continue to cover video games as associate editor at Endless Mode, and will oversee all of its anime coverage.
"It's a dream come true to be coming on as an editor at Endless Mode," Gonzalez said. "I'm incredibly excited to work with our talented group of contributors to facilitate anime and games writing that's fun, thoughtful, and meets the moment. In particular, despite anime's increasing global popularity, it remains largely overlooked by mainstream media, and we hope to help fill that gap in whatever small way we can. Whether it's covering the latest Shonen Jump adaptation or drawing attention to the many overlooked shows at risk of being ignored, we hope to help both existing anime fans and newcomers find what they should be watching."
"One of the strongest threads between games, anime and theme parks is their ability to create fascinating new worlds that are exciting to visit," Martin said. "That sense of unlimited possibility is what drives Endless Mode, and we can't wait to share those discoveries with our readers."
