Prestigious Irving Selikoff Award Presented to Center for Asbestos Related Disease (CARD) Founder and Former Medical Director, Dr. Brad Black
LIBBY, Mont., Oct. 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Exciting things are happening at the Center for Asbestos Related Disease (CARD). In September, CARD began seeing asbestos health screening patients at its new facility at 118 W 3rd St in Libby, Montana. Screenings are free for those who qualify under CARD's grant from ATSDR/CDC. The Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) held their 21st Annual Conference in New York City in September. ADAO was founded in 2004 as a non-profit organization that advocates for preventing asbestos exposure and eliminating diseases caused by asbestos exposure through education and community initiatives. At the recent conference, the prestigious Irving Selikoff Award, which honors physicians committed to preventing asbestos harm and advancing care for asbestos related diseases, was presented in absentia to CARD founder and former medical director, Dr. Brad Black. Dr. Black serves on CARD's Board of Directors as well as the ADAO's Science Advisory Board and is known for his dedication to CARD and its critical role within the community.
