BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Samesurf, Inc., the inventor of modern co-browsing and a pioneer in the development of foundational elements for Agentic AI, today provided additional context on (1) the issuance of its 12,101,361 and 12,088,647 USPTO patents and (2) full confirmation for all 16 claims of its 9,483,448 patent by the PTAB.

Among other components, Samesurf's patents relate to systems that support simulated browsing by AI enabled devices that are designed to autonomously perceive their environment, reason, and take purposeful actions to achieve specific goals without continuous human oversight. These patents also relate to interactions amongst AI enabled and/or human devices where a "human-in-the loop" observes, supervises and/or intervenes via features such as in-page control passing. The priority dates for the '361 and '647 patents are February 17, 2023 while the priority dates for the '448, '087, '353 and '145 patents are May 20, 2010.

Samesurf's patents specifically relate to the precise role and operation of (1) AI enabled and/or human host and guest devices; (2) cloud browsers; (3) synchronization servers; (4) encoders; and (5) automated systems that redact sensitive elements from unauthorized viewing by leveraging machine learning.  The '361 and '647 patents specifically define the functioning of these components within core system flows where "a host and a non-host take the form of a human user and/or 'bot' or AI enabled user which can simulate the role of a human user either via scripting, customized programming, integration with an artificial intelligence component and/or through any other simulated medium."

In building upon Samesurf's achievements in terms of originating the synchronized browsing industry as evidenced by the granting of six (6) USPTO patents, the newly issued intellectual property specifically covers:

  • the precise role and operation of "cloud browsers" within synchronized browsing and Agentic AI systems;

  • the ability for autonomous AI enabled devices to simulate human browsing within any form of online content with the option to pass or share navigational control with other AI enabled and/or human driven devices;

  • automated redaction of sensitive content such as credit card numbers from the view of unauthorized user devices via the utilization of machine learning and other methods to achieve regulatory compliance and security safeguards;

  • simulated browsing across single and/or multiple browser tabs by one or more AI enabled and/or human user devices; and

  • ultra-efficient architectures for processing frame and raw data to optimize analysis, generation and actionability of the underlying browsing interactions for the participating devices on any platform or content format without requiring installs or coding of any kind.
  • These patents build upon Samesurf's deep expertise and history in developing cloud browser and API driven technologies which support browsing interactions that reside in the cloud.  In addition to the newly issued patents, Samesurf also has multiple patents pending on various other elements of Agentic AI and browsing simulation technology.

    "In leveraging Samesurf's invention of synchronized browsing and its broad applicability within multiple industries and formats, the disclosure of our most recent IP assets continues to solidify Samesurf's position of dominance within the 'real time' and rapidly expanding Agentic AI verticals," said K. David Pirnazar, Samesurf's CEO, Co-Founder and Co-Inventor of the newly issued patents (with CTO Adam Flaherty).

    Samesurf is a GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001 compliant technology and services provider with (1) numerous clients and partners in the Fortune 100 and (2) investors that include founders of Qualcomm, Charles & Potomac Capital, and the company's co-founders.
